The Electrify Expo tour made its highly anticipated stop in Washington DC on July 22nd and 23rd, marking the first of three East Coast destinations. Following the success of its previous events in Long Beach and San Francisco, the electric festival continued to captivate attendees with its innovative showcase of electric vehicles (EVs) and the EV aftermarket culture.

The heart of Electrify Expo, Electrify Showoff is an exciting section of the festival that celebrates the EV aftermarket culture, complemented by music and chill vibes, creating an unforgettable experience for all participants. This segment aimed to showcase the creativity and passion of enthusiasts who have embraced the EV aftermarket revolution.

The weekend kicked off on a high note, as the Electrify Showoff portion, in collaboration with DCESK8, hosted an exhilarating 20-mile group ride tour of Washington DC. Over 100 riders, showcasing a variety of personal electric mobility vehicles, including e-bikes, e-scooters, e-skateboards, and one-wheelers, embarked on this thrilling tour of the nation’s capital.

Electrify Showoff DC proudly displayed some of the most exceptional EV builds from across the country. Toyo Tires and Bisimoto wowed attendees with their famous electric-swapped Porsches, while Twisted Voltage impressed with their classic electric VW Bug. However, stealing the spotlight was RUINED EV, a brand that has been making waves in the industry.

RUINED EV’s East Coast division faced high expectations after RUINED EV’s West Coast division secured consecutive Best Crew wins in Long Beach and San Francisco, along with an impressive total of 7 and 8 awards respectively.

True to form, RUINED EV’s East Coast division delivered in full force! The group made a strong statement at Showoff DC, presenting an impressive lineup of 8 cars and 2 e-bikes, setting award-winning records, and keeping the brand’s Best Crew streak alive.

AJ Velasco, representing industry icons Yokohama Tires and Meguiars, showcased his awe-inspiring 1 of 1 painted and hand-made full metal wide-body Tesla Model 3 Performance, which captured the event’s top honor, Best of Show. In addition to his remarkable Tesla, AJ, along with Herve Fontaine, introduced the RUINED EV e-bike division to the e-bike industry with two dazzling Super 73 builds. AJ’s fully custom Super 73 ZX stood out among dozens of customized e-bikes and won the Best E-Bike award in a highly competitive category.

New RUINED EV member, David Perez, stunned spectators with his Tesla Model 3 featuring a mind-bending custom air suspension setup and an orgasmic sounding exceptional high-end audiophile build. Herve Fontaine’s Tesla Model 3 exemplified a classy and tech-inspired interior, while Mike Clifford’s killer Rotiform wheels garnered well-deserved attention. Twisted Voltage’s electrifying VW Bug proved that classics can still make a bold statement, and Cesar Zunaga, Tony Lopez, and Nick Mano brought sexy to EVs with their killer stanced Tesla Model 3s.

RUINED EV’s East Coast Division had a stellar performance at Showoff DC, claiming an impressive total of 10 awards at the event.
