The Electrify Expo and Electrify Showoff created a resounding impact as they descended upon the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY on August 12-13. Following their successful runs in Long Beach, San Francisco, and Washington DC, these electrifying events continued to captivate attendees with their immersive experience.

Among the many attractions, Ford’s thrill zone stood out as the star of the show. Attendees were treated to an exhilarating ride in a 1400 horsepower Ford Mach E, chauffeured by none other than professional driver Colette Davis. The Mach E’s power and performance provided an unforgettable thrill that left passengers in awe.

At the core of the Electrify Expo was the Electrify Showoff, a dedicated section that brought the vibrant culture, music, and electrifying vibes of the EV aftermarket scene to the forefront.

The NY edition of the event went above and beyond, offering attendees more than just a showcase of the latest in EV aftermarket modification. Those looking to add an edge to their appearance had the chance to get a fresh haircut from Vinnie the Barber or even get inked by Rocky Socks. For the RC junkies, Island Hobby Nut provided the excitement of RC drift car racing. Metal fabrication enthusiasts got an up-close look at Alex of 66 Customs NJ’s craftsmanship. And for those with an eye for detail, All Elite Detailing ensured that the show cars remained in pristine condition throughout the event.

Showoff NY proudly featured some of the finest EV builds in the nation, including the famous electric-swapped Porsches by Toyo and Bisimoto. The powerhouse Tesla Model 3s of RUINED EV’s AJ Velasco and Rex Villa added to the spectacle, alongside the rest of the brand that continues to capture the industry’s attention—RUINED EV East Coast.

The stakes were high for RUINED EV’s East Coast division, as they aimed to continue their streak of success after a 3-peat of Best Crew wins in Long Beach, San Francisco, and Washington DC. The division showcased their strength at Showoff NY, unveiling the “King of Tesla”—Rex Villa’s Tesla Model 3—and presenting a total of six cars and one e-bike that set new records for award wins. The division upheld the brand’s Best Crew legacy, solidifying their reputation as a driving force in the industry.

The build-up to the event was accompanied by rumors of a showdown for the Best of Show award between the two RUINED EV powerhouses. Speculations ranged from a boxing match to a tattoo, building anticipation for a fierce competition that would leave judges with a daunting decision. Ultimately, Rex Villa emerged victorious, continuing RUINED EV’s streak of Best of Show wins and sparking rumors of an Austin showdown.

Rex Villa’s Tesla Model 3 continued to captivate audiences with its mind-boggling design. A carbon fiber over fender kit and an enchanting unicorn wrap by Inozatek adorned the exterior, while the interior boasted an array of exclusive Tesla treasures. The vehicle’s aesthetics were complemented by a custom audio system from Matt Schaeffer of Musaic Design, featuring premium Focal components that delivered an exceptional audio experience.

AJ Velasco, a prominent figure in RUINED EV, proudly showcased his awe-inspiring 1 of 1 handcrafted full metal wide-body Tesla Model 3 Performance built by Alex of 66CustomsNJ. The build, representing both Yokohama Tires and Meguiars, remained a focal point of the event.

AJ also reintroduced his Best E-Bike from Showoff DC—the custom Super 73 ZX. This time, it came back with a vengeance, featuring the Handlworks BAC855 controller for the Super 73 ZX. E-bike influencers such as Neil Tjin and Shreddie McSkate were thoroughly impressed by the additional torque and top-end speed provided by the Handlworks controller.
